UNKNOWN GUNMEN ATTACK POLICE AREA COMMAND IN EHIME MBANO LGA, KILL FIVE POLICEMEN

At least five police officers have lost their lives following an attack by unknown gunmen at the Police Area Command Headquarters in Ehime Mbano Local Government Area of Imo State.
A statement by the Public Relations Officer Imo State Police Command, Mr. Orlando Ikeokwu, noted that the whereabouts of one police officer attached to the same Area Command was yet to be ascertained.
Mr. Ikeokwu, however, explained that no fire incident was recorded during the incident that occurred on Monday evening.
The attack came barely two days after the country house of the state governor, Senator Hope Uzodimma, was set ablaze by unknown gunmen.
Police facilities in the state have come under attack by unknown gunmen in the last two months during which buildings were razed and police officers killed.
