TRENDING VIDEO ON DEMOLITION OF BLIND MAN’S HOUSE IN IHEKWUENU AKU COMMUNITY FALSE — TRADITIONAL RULER

The traditional ruler of Ihekwuenu Aku Autonomous Community of Igbo-Etiti Local Government Area of Enugu, Igwe Christopher Okwor, has reacted to the video making the rounds in which it was alleged that a visually impaired man’s house was demolished by yet to be identified thugs in Aku.
Igwe Okwor while speaking with journalists in Enugu stated that contrary to media reports, the said building was being erected in his compound by one Nnamdi Ezemagu in a land grabbing ploy.
In the trending video, it was alleged that the demolished building was being constructed for a blind member of the community to alleviate his condition.
Giving his own side of the story, Igwe Okwor, alleged that the structure in question was being built inside his compound by one Nnamdi Ezemagu, as a revenge for his stopping Mr. Ezemagu’s land grabbing activities in the community.
He further showed documents where Ezemagu’s family filed a court case at Ogbede High court (suit number 09//7/2019) laying claim to the same land and wondered how they turned around to ascribe ownership of the same land to a blind man.
“The visually impaired 65 Year’s Old man was never a party to the suit instituted by Ezemagu’s family challenging ownership claim of the land,” the traditional ruler stated.
Igwe Okwor recalled how the said Mr. Nnamdi Ezemagu had allegedly been threatening him and eventually assaulted him and members of his family in 2019 just because he adjudicated matters brought before him as the traditional ruler of Ihekwuenu Autonomous Community.
The Royal father expressed regret that Mr. Ezemagu was allowed to continue with his alleged land grabbing activities, breaching the peace of the community despite his numerous petitions to the state Governor to appeal for urgent intervention of the state government and security agencies.
Igwe Okwor called on the public and media organizations to disregard the contents of the said video in which the blind man was deliberately dragged into a land dispute he knew nothing about, just to gain public sympathy.
