When Radio Nigeria visited the scene of the fire incident, neighbors were seen discussing the issue in groups and wondering what must have lured the boy into an act they described as tragic.

One of the women, who did not want her name mentioned, said the grandson of the deceased allegedly tied the woman with rope, pour kerosene and set her on fire.

She narrated that the other two children who also lived with the woman explained that their brother threatened to throw them inside the fire if they shouted or raised alarm.

The suspect, who is a senior secondary school one student, is said to be living with his aged grand mother who was a lawyer alongside with his siblings.

The eye witness explained that the father of the children and son of the deceased later arrived at the scene and took the corpse away to the mortuary after the police had visited the scene.
