REPORTER: BEN ILECHUKWU

Governor Chukwuma Soludo of Anambra State has called on the people of Ihiala and its environs to partner government and the security joint task force to fight insecurity in the area.

The Governor made the call when delegates from Ihiala Community, jointly led by the Deputy Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Dr. Pascal Agbodike, and some stakeholders paid him a visit at Government House, Awka.

According to the Governor, his administration came at the time when the entire Anambra South Senatorial Zone was taken over by gunmen, but had succeeded in dislodging them from Lilu, Ogboji, Osumoghu, Ukpor and Ogbaru communities of the state.

He commended the people for constructing a state-of-the-art library which they wanted the state government to approve for use.

Governor Soludo stressed that oil economy is on the high decline and the state government was looking towards green revolution to revitalize its economy.

While thanking the people for their support during the last gubernatorial election, Professor Soludo charged them to join hands with his administration to develop Ihiala as another commercial hub of the southeast beside Nnewi and Onitsha.

The spokesmen of the entourage and immediate past Commissioner for Information, Mr C. Don Adinuba and Mr. Vin Ezeaka, commended the Governor for his achievements since assumption of office and appealed to him to sustain the tempo.
