SECURITY: POLICE DEPLOY THREE ARMOURED PERSONNEL CARRIERS IN SENATORIAL ZONES OF ANAMBRA

Governor Willie Obiano of Anambra State has assured the people that the security of lives and property will continue to be the cardinal objective of his administration. The Governor gave the assurance while inspecting three Amoured Personnel Carriers at the State  Criminal Investigative Department annex in Awkuzu.

The Armored Personnel Carriers, which are stationed in the three senatorial zones of the state, are to be deployed to intensive patrol throughout the state to restore confidence in the people that the state remains the safest in the country. Governor Obiano warned criminal elements, who had been disturbing the peace of the state to relocate or face the consequences of their actions.

The Governor announced that the combined security team, comprising the Army, Navy, Police, NSCDC, had intensified patrol in the three senatorial zones of the state.  Governor Obiano said that security officials had been motivated to carry out their assignments effectively and efficiently.

He assured the people that his administration would not relent in ensuring that security took its pride of place in the area.  For his part, the Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of operation in the state, Mr. Dogo Salman explained that the Amoured Personnel Carriers were to help fight crime. Mr. Dogo noted that one of the Amoured carriers  sprays hot water and paint.
