SARAKI RALLIES SUPPORT FOR PMB

Senate President, Dr. Bukola Saraki has called on all Nigerians, irrespective of political and religious affiliations to support President Muhammadu Buhari towards strengthening the nation’s economy.

Dr. Saraki made the call during an event at Christ the King Catholic Parish, Nkalagu in Ishielu Local Government Area of Ebonyi State.

The Senate President who was accompanied by many Senators and prominent politicians appealed to Nigerians to be patient with the Federal Government as efforts were on to reposition the nation’s economy and build a one Nigeria that would ensure equity and fairness to all citizens.

Dr. Saraki promised that the Senate would continue to make laws that would ensure equitable distribution of the nation’s resources and assured Ebonyi State government of its support towards developing the state.

Governor, David Umahi in a remark called on the National Assembly to facilitate the payment of five hundred and fifty six billion naira used by state governments in the construction of Federal roads across the country.

Chief Umahi appealed to the Federal government to include Ebonyi in the list of states with challenges of Internally Displaced Persons which was as a result of the Ezza Ezilo communal clash and other boundary crisis between some communities in the state and people in other neighbouring states.
