REACTION TRAILS PROF SOLUDO’S TRANSITION COMMITTEE LIST

The Anambra State Governor-elect, Professor Charles Soludo, has set up an 80-man committee to oversee a peaceful transition from the Willie Obiano led administration to the incoming government by march 17, 2022.
Former Minister of Education, Dr. Obiageli Ezekwesili will be the Head of the Governorship Transition Committee.
A statement by the Media Officer of the Governor-Elect, Mr. Joe Anatune, notes that the full Terms of Reference for the Committee and its mode of operation will be communicated during the inauguration/first plenary sessions scheduled for 19- 22nd January, 2022 in Agulu, Anambra State.
Some notable names that made the list include the speaker of the state house of Assembly, Mr. Uche Okafor, Professor Benedict Okey Oramah, Professor Pat Utomi and Professor Chidi Odinkalu.
Others include Mr. Steve Nworga, Chief Osita Chidoka, Dr. Ben Nwankwo, Dr. Alex Otti, Chief Akachukwu Nwankpo and former PDP Anambra Governorship Campaign Manager, Dr. Alex Obiogbolu.
Meanwhile, reactions have continued to trail the composition of the Transition Committee list released by the Governor Elect.
A grassroots politician and community leader, Chief Obi Ochije, while speaking with Radio Nigeria, said the members in the list had shown that the incoming governor wanted to develop the state to an enviable height.
According to Chief Ochije,Professor Soludo’s Transition Committee list, which has technocrats and professionals from almost all spheres, means that he will run an all inclusive government devoid of party affiliation and ethnic sentiment.
Chief Ochije commended the governor elect for picking such quality and power packed committee, comprising people from within and neighboring states.
“The list shows that the governor elect is coming with a good vision for the state. He is coming to show that Anambra State will be better with his administration.
“That list has so many people who know what it takes to make a state greater. Soludo has demonstrated that his government will be for everybody and not for only his party,” Chief Ochijie stated.
He appealed to the people to always remember the outgoing government of Governor Willie Obiano and the Governor elect, Professor Charles Soludo in prayers as good followership would encourage those in leadership positions to do better.
The Transition Committee list is made up of 12 Professors, 17 PhD holders and other technocrats and professionals.
