
RADIO NIGERIA’S EMEFIENA OKONKWO RECEIVES OUTSTANDING REPORTER OF THE YEAR AWARD
Nigerians are encouraged to be committed to peace and development of the country.
The Director, Builders Academy, Ugbene2, Enugu, Dr. Ezekiel Nnadi gave the advice in Enugu, during the 2023 Graduation and Award Giving Day of the School.
At the event, some Corporate Organizations and individuals, including a member of staff of Radio Nigeria, Enugu, Mr. Emefiena Okonkwo were given Awards of Excellence for their distinguished contributions to National Growth and Development, especially Children and Youth Development.
The Director of the Academy, Dr. Ezekiel Nnadi explained that the Awards of Excellence to these deserving Nigerians and corporate organizations was to recognize their contributions to humanity and national development through their professions.
Dr. Nnadi, who is a lecturer Enugu State University of Science and Technology (ESUT), Agbani, noted that the school which he founded, was a way of giving back to the society and thanked an estate developer, Oasis and Shelter limited for donating notebooks and desks for pupils and students of the Academy.
One of the recipients of the Awards and a staff of Radio Nigeria, Enugu Zonal Station, Mr. Emefiena Okonkwo, who was awarded “Outstanding Reporter of the Year,” while espressing his joy, thanked God for making the day possible, the Academy’s management for the recognition and Radio Nigeria, Enugu family for their support.
Mr. Okonkwo pledged his sustained commitment to humanity, especially the wellbeing and development of children and youths in the country.
Some pupils of the school, while expressing their joy, stated their dedication to their studies for self actualization.
Parents and Guardians, on the occasion, encouraged the Academy to remain committed to its academic, moral and extra curricular excellence.
The event was well attended by people from different walks of life, while other recipients of the Awards include AFIA TV station as, “the most progressive TV station in Nigeria,” Pastor Beloved Dan-Anike as, “the most outstanding public servant of the year,” while Mr. Mascot Agbo and Mr. Obed Isaiah were honoured with “Builders Ambassadors.
