PUT YOUR VEHICLES IN ORDER THESE EMBER MONTHS — FRSC ADVISES IMO MOTORISTS

REPORTER: UGONNA AGU

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Imo State Sector Command, wants road users to be cautious these ember months and ensure that all the components of their vehicles are intact.

The Sector Commander, Mr. Everistus Ebeniro, made the call during the command’s quarterly free vehicle safety check.

Mr. Ebeniro explained that the free vehicle check out was part of the command’s mandate towards ensuring safety on the roads.

He said the campaign was organised as a build up towards the end of the year activities to avail commuters the opportunity to run a free check on their vehicles.

“It’s a free check, for all motorists. It’s a period that we used to draw the attention of motorists to the need to ensure that all the safety components of their vehicles are in tact: Windscreen, fire extinguisher, whipper, make sure the tyres are ok.

Those who have issues pertaining to number plates or driving license, here today, we can be of assistance. It’s not an enforcement activity, we are not issuing tickets, we are only doing a checklist of those things that they should have,” he advised.

The FRSC Sector Commander urged road users to obey all traffic rules and regulations.

The command also conducted free medical vital sign checks for commuters.
