POLICE REUNITE 3 RESCUED CHILDREN WITH THEIR FAMILY — PPRO

Three children of the same parents, who were abducted by an unknown motorcyclist at Amoba Oboro Village in Ikwuano Local Government Area of Abia State, have been rescued by the Police and reunited with their family.

The spokesperson of the Abia State Police Command, Mrs. Maureen Chinaka, made the announcement in a statement.

The children, Gideon Osinachi, Obioma Osinachi, and Israel Osinachi, aged between 8 and 4 went missing on the May 10, 2024 after a motorcyclist engaged by their grandmother to take them home after visiting her, abducted them.

According to the statement, Obioma Osinachi was rescued on May 21 at Ekwulobia in Anambra State, Gideon Osinachi was rescued at Nkpor in Anambra State two days later while Israel Osinachi was rescued in Warri, Delta State on June 13.

The statement noted that in the course of the investigation, four female suspects identified as Reverend Sister Pauline Alozie, Chizoba DJ, Glory Umuna and Mrs. Georgina Okoye as well as one male suspect, Philip Ibe, were arrested in Anambra and Delta States in connection with the crime and would soon be arraigned in court.

While thanking all those who collaborated with the police in solving the case, the statement advised members of the public to ensure children’s safety by not entrusting them to unfamiliar persons and reporting suspicious activities and individuals to security agencies.
