POLICE PARADE 5 SUSPECTED ARMED ROBBERS, 3 SUSPECTED KIDNAPPERS IN UMUAHIA

Five suspected armed robbers are now in Police net in Abia State.

Parading the suspects in Umuahia, the Commissioner of Police in the state, Mr. Ene Okon, claimed the suspects were members of a gang that allegedly robbed and killed a couple last weekend on Secretariat Road in Umuahia.

He also claimed that the five suspects were members of the notorious armed robber called Samson Nwokeocha, who was shoot dead by Police last year in Umuahia.

Mr. Okon gave the names of the suspects as Precious Okoro, Justice Ogbonna, Enyinna Asiegbu, Promise Obilor and Kingsley Emezuo.

Other suspects paraded by the Police were three suspected kidnappers, said to have been terrorizing residents of Aba and it’s environs and a suspected hardrug dealer, Lucky Adindu.

In an interview, one of the suspects, Kingsley Emezuo, who claimed to be a butcher, admitted to have been involved in some robbery operations in Umuahia.

Items allegedly recovered from the suspects included two pump action guns, two locally made short guns, three live cartridges, a Sienna van, one machete, and a bag containing some wraps of weeds suspected to be Marijuana.
