POLICE IN ENUGU STATE SEEK STRONGER COLLABORATION WITH THE PEOPLE FOR THE SECURITY OF THE STATE

Enugu State Police Command says it is committed to sustaining the collaboration between it and Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria.

The Commissioner of Police in the state, Mr. Suleiman Balarabe, stated this when he led top officers of the command on courtesy visit to the management of the Corporation.

Mr. Balarabe eulogized the zeal of Radio Nigeria in disseminating factual and accurate information, stressing that her contributions had facilitated national development and cohesion.

He solicited the collaboration of the Station in translating the ideas of the command to the grassroots for effective policing.

Mr. Balarabe assured the station of the Command’s willingness to partner it to sustain the existing peace in the state.

Speaking on the occasion, the Zonal Director, Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria Mr. Ken Ike Okere urged the Commissioner to take advantage wide coverage of the of the station to reach the people of the state.

Mr. Okere pledged the readiness of the station to work with the Police in the area, while urging it to assist the station with personnel to secure some of its installations especially at Ngwo and the Broadcasting House.

The visit provided the opportunity for both Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria, Enugu National Station and the Police Command to share experiences and ideas on how to maintain peaceful and secured environment.
