PCRC COMMITTED TO FOSTERING CORDIAL RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN THE POLICE AND PUBLIC

The Police Community Relations Committee, PCRC, has expressed its commitment towards fostering cordial relationship between the Police and members of the Public.

The Chairman of the Committee in Iwollo, Ezeagu Local Government Area, Mr Evidence Udebunu stated this when he led a delegation of the Committee on a courtesy visit to the Rector of the Enugu State Polytechnic Iwollo, Professor Joseph Akubuilo.

Mr. Udebunu explained that the Police Community Relations Committee was formed in 1984 to bridge the gap between the Police and the Public.

He said that the purpose of the visit was to offer automatic membership of PCRC, to the Rector of the Polytechnic, show solidarity and solicit financial assistance to execute some programmes and projects.

Responding, Professor Akubuilo thanked the group for the visit and promised a healthy relationship between the institution’s Management and the Committee.

The Rector and the Deputy Rector, Dr. Ejike Ajibo gave some financial assistance to the Committee to enable the members to pursue their goals.
