OHANEZE NDIGBO INSISTS ON SOUTH EAST PRESIDENCY

The Apex Igbo Social Cultural Organisation, Ohaneze Ndigbo Worldwide, says it stands with Afenifere, PANDEF and the Middle Belt Forum in their call for South East zone to produce the next Nigeria President come 2023 general glection.

The President of Ohaneze in Ebonyi State, Dr. Peter Mbam, stated this while briefing journalists on plans to ensure that political office holders dissuade their supporters from violence during elections in Abakaliki.

Dr. Mbam noted that the emergence of Nigeria President of South East extraction would go a long way to address age long marginalization of the people of the zone and agitations, which had impacted negatively in the country’s bond of unity.

He noted that the Organisation would go into strategic partnership with political office holders to shun violence during the poll and commended Governor David Umahi for his commitment towards developing the state.
