Ohanaeze Ndig­bo in kano State has congratulated the newly Igwe-elect of Ogidi Kingdom in Anambra State

ohaneze-in-di-igboThe Kano State chapter of Ohanaeze Ndig­bo has congratulated the Igwe-elect of Ogidi Kingdom in Anambra State, Chief Alex Ony­ido, for his elevation as Ezezeremagha of Ogidi community, de­scribing it as a well-de­served appointment.

The AUTHOR­ITY reports that Chief Onyido, a pharma­cist and successful business man was for decades, one of the pillars of the Igbo Community in Kano State, with his com­pany, PAL Pharma­ceutical Industry Ltd, as one of the largest employers of labour, within the private sec­tor in the state.

The installation of Chief Onyido as the Ezezeremagha came after the demise of the immediate past tradi­tional ruler of Ogidi kingdom.

In a statement joint­ly signed by Kano state chapter Presi­dent and Coordinator of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Chief Chris Chuk­wubuzor Azuka and Chief Emeka Chuk­wuma, Ohanaeze ex­pressed confidence in the new king.

The Igbo apex so­cio-cultural organisa­tion advised him to rule with equity and justice, adding that Ohanaeze can attest to the fact that Igwe Ezezeremagha will deploy his wealth of knowledge and expe­rience in attracting progress and develop­ment to his kingdom.

Ohaneze Ndigbo also prayed for a long, peaceful and fruit­ful reign for the new king.
