NYSC REWARDS FOUR WITH EXCELLENCE AWARD, PUNISHES EIGHTEEN OTHERS IN EBONYI

Eighteen 2019 Batch A National Youth Service Corps members in Ebonyi state are to receive  various levels of punishment, including having their service year extended for committing various offences. The State Coordinator of the scheme, Mrs. Ann Ibe announced this at the Passing Out Parade Ceremony of 2019 Batch A Corps members at Pa Ngele Oruta Township stadium Abakaliki.

Mrs. Ibe explained that some of the affected  Corps members absconded from their areas of primary assignments for three months and would face disciplinary action in line with the 1993 NYSC bye laws. Governor David Umahi who was represented at the event by the State Commissioner for Youth and Sports, Mr. Charles Akpuenika, commended the successful corps members for contributing their quota to the development of the state.

Two thousand, ninety-eight corps members concluded their service year, of which four were honoured with Excellence Award for distinguishing themselves in their areas of primary assignment.
