NSCDC PERSONNEL UNDERGO MENTAL & PSYCHOLOGICAL CHECK IN ABIA

Officers and men of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Abia State Command have been urged to always exhibit professionalism in the discharge of their duties.

The Commandant of the corps in the state, Mr. Ayinla Olowo, made this known during the commencement of a two day Forensic Psychological Assessment and Evaluation test for officers and men of the command in Umuahia, the state capital.

Mr. Olowo said that the essence of the Forensic Psychological and Behavioral Test was to end the devastating effects of Accidental Discharge amongst arms bearing personnel of the corps.

The NSCDC Commandant noted that the exercise was in compliance with the directive of the Commandant General of the corps, Mr. Ahmed Audu, for officers and men to undergo a mandatory mental and Psychological test in order to ascertain their behavioral tendencies.

Speaking on the occasion, a resource person from the Forensic Department of the corps, Mr. Clement Ukada, said that the exercises was for the overall well-being of the officers and men of the corps and also for the safety of the citizens of the state as well as to
enhance productivity.
