Nigerian Legion Enugu State Call for Consideration of Qualified Ex-service Men or children in the State Civil Service

The Nigerian Legion, Enugu State Council has decried the non-redemption of some pledges made by individuals during the past emblem launch in the State.

The Chairman of the Legion in the State, Mr. Emeka Igwesi revealed this during the launching of the 2019 Armed Forces Remembrance and Emblem Appeal week at Michael Okpara Square.

Mr. Igwesi said that fund owed to the Legion would go a long way to addressing the challenges of the heroes and heroines who had served the country gallantly.

He further appealed to the State Government for the consideration of qualified ex-service men or their children in the Civil Service.

The Enugu State Governor, represented by his Deputy, Mrs Cecilia Ezeilo who commended President Muhammadu Buhari for the fight against insurgency, also praised the gallant Soldiers for protecting the territorial integrity of the country, and pledged support for the Nigerian Legion and its activities.

The Chief Judge of the State, Justice Ngozi Emehelu, the Chairman, Traditional Rulers Council in Enugu State, Ambassador Lawrence Agubuzu and other top government officials took turns to launch the Emblem.
