NEW ANAMBRA CP GIVES CRIMINALS QUIT NOTICE IN ONITSHA

Hoodlums and one chance robbers terrorising upper iweka axis of Onitsha Anambra State have been warned to flee the area of risk being apprehended by security agents.

The State Commissioner of police, Mr. John Abang, gave the warning when he went on an oppressional assessment tour to some flash points within Onitsha axis.

Addressing journalists shortly after the tour, Mr. Abang said he decided to visit the security flash points based on the briefings he had received within twenty four hours after he resumed duty in the command.

Mr. Abang reiterated his resolve to key into the Operation Puff Adder mandate earlier introduced by the Inspector General of Police to rid the area off criminal elements.

He therefore called on residents of the state to be in the habit of providing useful information that would enable the police and other security agencies to respond swiftly to crime situations.

The Police Commissioner said the command would draw up an operational order to guide officers and men in their resolve to provide adequate security in the state.

Some of the black spots visited by the Commissioner of Police were Nkpor Junction, Owerri Road, Upper Iweka, Zik Round About, MCC Junction, and Obodo Ukwu Road Okpoko.
