NEW AIG ZONE 13 ASSUMES OFFICE

A New Assistant Inspector General (AIG) of Police Zone 13, Ukpo has been appointed and assumed duty. His name is Mr. Muri Umar Musa from Taraba state. Until his appointment, Mr. Umar was the Commissioner of Police, Kaduna State command.

 A statement by the Zonal Police Public Relations Officer, Zone 13, Princess Nkiruka Nwode, says the new AIG is an excellent detective with leadership prowess and also a disciplinarian who is an advocate of due process.

The statement says that Mr. Umar Musa  served briefly as a Legal Adviser with the Nigeria Ports Authority, Lagos before starting his career in the Nigeria Police Force, having enlisted as Cadet Assistant Superintendent of Police on March 3rd, 1990. Mr. Umar is a member of several reputable Organizations,  including the Nigeria Bar Association (NBA) and the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP).

He takes over from Mr. Mukadas Garba who retired from the force after 35 years of service.
