MEMBERS OF EBONYI STATE EDUCATION BOARD SACKED OVER SALARY PAYMENT FRAUD

Ebonyi State Government has sacked members of the State Education Board over alleged fraudulent practices.

A statement by the Secretary to the state government, Dr. Kenneth Ugballa, explained that the state government discovered that names of dead workers and those who resigned their appointments in the payroll of the Board.

The state government also announced the redeployment of all Heads of Departments of the Board to other Ministries Departments and Agencies.

It also noted that a committee had been set up to conduct a comprehensive and thorough staff audit in the Board and submit report for necessary action.
