MAN ARRESTED FOR ASSAULTING A 9 YEAR OLD GIRL
A forty year old man is now in police net in Anambra State for allegedly assaulting a nine year old girl at Maryland Estate, 3.3 Onitsha. The suspect, one Hillary Apeh was arrested by police operatives attached to 3.3 Police station on Sunday.
According to an eye witness, the suspect brutally assaulted his niece, Chioma Ogbu and inflicted several wounds on her body.
Confirming the incident in a statement, the Police Public Relations Officer in the State, Mr Haruna Muhammed says preliminary investigation further revealed that the suspect had on several occasions physically abused the nine year old victim who has scars all over her body.
Mr Muhammed said that the victim was taken to hospital for treatment noting that the suspect would be brought to book after investigation was concluded.
