IMO STATE: OWERRI MASTER PLAN GROSSLY DISTORTED — COMMISSION OF INQUIRY

Imo State Government has received a report of the “Judicial Commission of Inquiry on Lands and other Related Matters” at the Government House Owerri.

The Commission led by its Chairman, retired Justice Florence Duruohaigwe, said they received one thousand, five hundred and thirty-two petitions from all over the state and the diaspora.

Justice Duruohaigwe said the commission observed gross distortion of Owerri master plan and urged the state government to restore it.

According to Commission Chairman, the report is submitted in four volumes, which includes the main report that carries findings and recommendations while the other is the proceedings that carries interview and oral evidence.

Receiving the report, the Imo State Governor, Senator Hope Uzodinma commended them for job well done and assured them that the government would study the report with the hope of implementing it.

Senator Uzodinma pointed out that Imo people would be happy to see that justice was done while implementing the report.
