IGBO RACE IS NOT READY TO TAKE UP ARMS AGAINST FG —UWAZURIKE

The Leader of the Movement for the Actualization of the Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB), Chief Ralph Uwazurike, wants south east Governors to take over the affairs of Eastern Security Network (ESN) to bring sanity to the outfit.

Addressing a world press conference in his residence in Owerri, Chief Uwazurike lamented that many lives were being lost as a result of flaws in the mode of operation of the network.

According to the MOSSOB leader, governors will ensure adequate training of people engaged to complement the efforts of security agencies to guarantee peace in the land.

Chief Uwazurike insisted that the Igbo race was not ready to take up arms against the Federal Government or any ethnic nationality and called on those fanning the embers of war to desist.

He cautioned south east youths against being brainwashed by individuals whom he said instigated violence from their comfort zone abroad, noting that the situation had led to loss of lives in the area.

Chief Uwazuruike explained that he had never seen violence as an option to actualize his dream.

He said that time had come for the people of the south east to respect the opinion of elders in the affairs of the zone.

Chief Uwazurike commended Governor Hope Uzodimma on the manner he confronted the recent crisis in Orlu and called on other governors in the zone to take firm measures in addressing insecurity.
