GOV UMAHI PRESENTS #145BN 2022 BUDGET TO EBONYI STATE ASSEMBLY

Ebonyi State Government has proposed 145.410 billion Naira as its budget for 2022 fiscal year.

Presenting the budget before the State House of Assembly, Governor David Umahi explained that the budget represented 46.65% increase over the revised approved budget of 99 Billion Naira for 2021.

According to the Governor, 89.7 billion Naira is for Capital Expenditure while 55.6 billion Naira is for Recurrent Expenditure.

He noted that the budget would be funded from statutory allocation, internally generated revenues and receipts from development partners.

The Speaker of the House of Assembly, Chief Francis Nwifuru, commended Governor Umahi for what he described as prudent management of the state resources, massive infrastructure development and assured him of speedy passage of the budget.

Meanwhile the 2022 budget is tagged budget of Latter Rain.
