FRSC SOLICITS SUPPORT OF FRCN TO REDUCE ACCIDENT

The Federal Road Safety Corp (FRSC) has called for the collaboration with the media and relevant groups to achieve its mandate of bringing down accident rate to 50% before the year 2020.

The Zonal Commanding Officer Federal Road Safety Corps, Assistant Corps Marshal, Samuel Obayemi made the call when he led some executive Officers of the Corps on a Courtesy visit to the Management of Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria, Enugu National Station.

Mr. Obayemi pointed out that the impact of the media as a veritable tool for sensitizing road users, ensuring safety on the road and generating feedbacks from the people could not be over emphasized.

In a reaction, the Zonal Director, FRCN Enugu National Station, Mr. Ike Okere assured the Corps of the station’s maximum support to its programmes as well as mandate off bringing down the accident rate.
