Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has re-stated its commitment to discipline unruly motorists. The Corps Marshal, Dr. Boboye Oyeyemi, made this known in a message to the Passing Out Parade of the 2019 Marshal Conversion Course at the FRSC Academy in Udi, Enugu State.

The FRSC boss, who was represented by the Deputy Corps Marshal Training, Mr. Alkali Shehu Zaki, said the management of the Corps was committed to promoting career development and staff motivation through regular training of its officers.

Mr. Zaki urged the officers to employ all they garnered from the training to be able to check the excesses of motorists. In its efforts to upgrade the status of the academy, Deputy Corps Marshal pointed out that modern facilities, including a five hundred seater lecture theatre, ICT building, had been completed in addition to the upgrade of its medical centre.

The Commandant of the FRSC Academy, Udi and Assistant Corps Marshal, Mr. Clement Oladele, who called for more responsibility on the part of the trained officers, stressed that the academy would not relent in pursuing its two cardinal objectives. These are to turn the academy into a world class centre of excellence for the whole of road safety in Africa and to reposition the academy to award certificate in non regimental studies, especially in transportation.

The best in academics, Mrs. Naomi Odeh, noted that the training had broadened her knowledge. The course, which started on August 5, 2020, had one hundred and twenty-one officers in attendance.
