FIVE CORPS MEMBERS TO REPEAT SERVICE YEAR IN EBONYI

REPORTER: AMECHI ODO

The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has extended the service year of five corps members of 2022 Batch A Stream 1 deployed to Ebonyi State for their one year mandatory service.

The State Coordinator of the Scheme, Mrs. Bamai Mercy, stated this in a message to the passing out ceremony of the Batch at Nkaliki, the Headquarters of Abakaliki Local Government Area.

Represented by the Assistant Director, Planning, Research and Statistics, Mr. Joseph Ogbovo, Mrs. Mercy explained that four corps members absconded and would be made to face the consequences.

She urged the corps members to take advantage of the skills and experience acquired during the service year to make themselves economically reliable.

Mrs. Mercy attributed their successful completion of their service year to hard work and obedient to NYSC rules and regulations and charged them to portray the good image of the scheme.

Radio Nigeria gathered that 555 corps members passed out during the ceremony.
