FG BEGINS CONSTRUCTION OF 100 HOUSING UNITS IN UBURU, EBONYI STATE

Governor David Umahi of Ebonyi State has commended the Federal Government for embarking on the construction of affordable housing units for the state civil and public servants.

Speaking at the ground breaking ceremony for about one hundred housing units being constructed by the Federal Government in Uburu Ohaozara Local Government Area, Governor Umahi, explained that the initiative would reduce accommodation deficit facing workers in the state.

He commended the Federal Mortgage Bank, NLC, TUC and NECA for partnering to deliver the project.

The Governor also called for expansion of the housing project to two hundred units, which would be constructed in Izzi Local Government Area to take care of those displaced as a result of development projects.

The Managing Director Federal Mortgage Bank, Mr. Ahmed Dangiwa, represented by Mr. Mefin Eboh, assured the state government of timely completion of the project.
