EZIKWO STREET IN ENUGU METROPOLIS RENAMED AFTER THE LATE DR ALEX EKWUEME
The Enugu State Government has renamed Ezikwo Street, Independent Layout, in Enugu metropolis as Dr. Alex Ekwueme Street. In a statement by the Secretary to the State Government, Professor Simon Ortuanya, the move was to immortalize the former Vice President of the country who contributed immensely to the nation’s development. Professor Ortuanya noted that the renaming was also to commemorate the second anniversary of his death. He said that the Enugu North Local Government Chairman had been directed to ensure that the change took effect immediately.
