EBONYI VIROLOGY CENTRE COMMENCES TESTING OF COVID 19 BLOOD SAMPLES
The South East Virology Centre Abakaliki has commenced testing of blood samples of suspected cases of coronavirus. Governor David Umahi announced this in a state wide broadcast at Government House Abakaliki. He explained that with the assistance of the Federal Government, reagents were configured and fitted into laboratory equipment while blood samples of eight suspected cases tested at the centre came out negative.
According to Chief Umahi, six holding and observation centres have been constructed in the three zones of the state while three treatment centres have been equipped. He directed that April salary be paid to civil servants to enable them to cushion the effects of some restrictions issued by the government.
