EBONYI STATE GOVT VOWS TO RESCUE ABDUCTED CHILDREN FROM ENYIGBA COMMUNITY

Ebonyi State Government has vowed to rescue children allegedly abducted from their homes in Enyigba Abakaliki community by suspected miscreants from Enyibichiri Ikwo Local Government Area of the state.
A statement by the State Commissioner for Information, Mr. Uchenna Orji, explains that the State Government was saddened by the turn of event between the two communities.
It described the abduction of the children as height of provocation as there was no known dispute between the communities.
The state government observed that the only land dispute between the had been settled and appealed to the people of Abakaliki to remain calm as the children would be rescued at all cost.
It gave the miscreants seven days within which to release the children and receive amnesty, emphasising that the government would continue to detain stakeholders from Enyibichiri Ikwo to underscore the value of life.
