EBONYI STATE GOVT RELEASES #600 MILLION FOR CONSTRUCTION OF DPO QUARTERS

Ebonyi State Government has released six hundred million Naira for the construction of residential quarters for Divisional Police Officers across the State.

The State Commissioner for Internal Security, Mr. Stanley Okoroemegha, announced this while presenting Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to the State Police Command.

Mr. Okoroemegha explained that fifteen of such residential quarters would be constructed in twelve local government areas while the state government was making plans to embark on similar project for Area Commanders.

He noted that such protective gears, which were helmets and bullet proof vests were ninety in number.

Mr. Okoroemegha called for sustained collaboration between the police and the state government pointing out that the wife of an Ebubeagu Operative who was shot dead by a suspected criminal had been included in government’s payroll.

The Commissioner of Police in the State, Mr. Aliyu Garba, emphasized that with the support of the state government, the command was poised to tackle crime headlong.
