EBONYI EXCO APPROVES FUNDS FOR INTERNAL ROAD MAINTENANCE & AIRPORT CONSTRUCTION EQUIPMENT

Ebonyi State Government has approved about seven hundred and fifty seven million Naira for the maintenance of internal roads in bad condition in the state.

The Commissioner for Information in the State, Mr. Uchenna Orji, gave the hint while briefing journalists on the outcome of this week’s Executive Council meeting at Government House Abakaliki.

Mr. Orji explained that the approval of the fund followed a request by the state Ministry of Works, noting that the project was aimed at giving a facelift to road infrastructure in the area.

He said the Council also approved Eight hundred and sixty-four-point-eight million Naira for the procurement of equipment for concrete casting and other sundry projects at the International Airport under construction in the state.

Mr. Orji added that the Executive Council considered the 2022 Budget Estimate and would hold public hearing for citizens inputs.
