EASTER MESSAGE: THE LORD HAS NOT ABANDONED HIS PEOPLE — ARCHBISHOP CHUKWUMA

The Archbishop of Enugu Ecclesiastical Province, Church of Nigeria, Anglican Communion, the Most Reverend Emmanuel Chukwuma, says the resurrection of Jesus Christ has conquered the power of darkness, oppression, and restored hope to the world already in distress.

Archbishop Chukwuma, who is also the Bishop of Enugu Diocese, Anglican Communion, reassures those who are passing through hardships due to the stay at home directive to curb the global health pandemic, to believe in the power of ressurrection and trust God always for solutions.

In his Easter message, the Most Reverend Chukwuma noted that although the faithful would not be able to gather together as communities of faith to mark Easter due to COVID19, but emphasized that, the Lord had not abandoned his people.

He called on the wealthy in the society to extend helping hands to those in need, particularly now citizens had been ordered to remain in their homes by government to contain the rampaging Coronavirus pandemic.

The Anglican Archbishop equally urged adherents to learn from the lessons of Jesus’ sacrifice, stressing that His victory over death had brought hope.
