EARLY MORNING FIRE DESTROYS 7 SHOPS IN UFUMA, ANAMBRA

Goods worth millions of naira have been destroyed by fire in Ufuma, Orumba North Local Government Area of Anambra State.
According to an eyewitness, the fire incident, which started around half past one Sunday (December 6) morning burnt down seven lockup shops at Ufuma junction.
The fire was, however, put off by local volunteers.
Happily no life was lost in the fire that destroyed property worth millions of naira.
Confirming the incident, the Police Public Relations Officer in Anmambra State, Mr. Haruna Muhammed, in a statement said police operatives attached to Ajali Division had cordoned off the incident area to avoid hoodlums from looting the saved goods.
The statement added that investigation had commenced to ascertain the circumstances surrounding the early morning inferno.
