DO NOT TAG #ENDSARS PROTEST IGBO AFFAIR — SEGF CRIES OUT

South East Governors Forum (SEGF) has assured all ethnic groups in the zone of the protection of their lives and property following the hijack of #EndSARS protest by hoodlums across country.

Briefing journalists after a virtual meeting by the Governors, the Chairman of the Forum, Governor David Umahi, said they were pained by the death of peaceful protesters at Lekki Toll Gate and sympathized with families of those who lost their lives in the protest.

Governor Umahi called on leaders of other ethnic nationalities and Governors of States in other zones to protect the people from other ethnic groups residing in their areas to restore peace and unity of the country.

Chief Umahi said the Governors Forum condemned an attempt by some ethnic groups to brand EndSARS the affairs of Ndigbo following a trending video on social media, which had been denied by alleged originator, Nnamdi Kanu.
