DEPLORABLE CONDITION OF OHAFIA-AROCHUKWU FEDERAL ROAD POSES SERIOUS THREAT TO ROAD USERS
The member representing Ohafia North State Constituency in the Abia State House of Assembly, Mr. Egwuruonu Obasi has decried the deplorable condition of the Ohafia-Arochukwu Federal road.
Mr. Obasi made this known while presenting a matter of urgent public importance during plenary
The lawmaker who explained that the bad condition of the road was caused by gully erosion, lamented that it had led to the untimely death of many road users.
He called on the State and Federal Governments to carry out palliative work on the failed section of the road.
Contributing, the member representing Isialangwa North, Chief Ginger Onwusibe, that of Aba Central, Mr. Abraham Obah, Umuahia North, Mr. Kelechi Onuzuruike and their Bende South counterpart, Chief Emmanuel Ndubuisi, supported the motion and urged the Governments to do the needful to avert loss of lives and property during the Yuletide.
Also,the plenary saw the break down of the 2020 Appropriation Bill of one hundred and thirty six billion, six hundred and seventeen million, eight hundred and forty seven thousand, three hundred and sixteen naira by the Commissioner of Finance, Dr. Aham Uko.
