COVID -19 CASES IN EBONYI STATE RISES TO 40 AS GOVT APPROVES FUND FOR SECOND TREATMENT CENTRE

Ebonyi State Government says recorded cases of coronavirus in the state has risen to forty following the conduct of test on one thousand, four hundred and seventy/two samples across the state.

Governor David Umahi announced this at Government House Abakaliki while briefing journalists on the COVID-19 pandemic and efforts to tackle.

Chief Umahi explained that while eight cases had been discharged having being treated, thirty-two cases were still active while two hundred and six persons kept at holding centres for observation had been discharged after fourteen days.

Chief Umahi pointed out that eighty million Naira had been approved for the renovation of General Hospital Elunwovue in Abakaliki Local Government Area, which would serve as the second treatment centre for coronavirus in the state.
