COUNCIL CHAIRMEN IN ENUGU STATE DRUM SUPPORT FOR GOV. UGWUANYI  IN CHECKING CRIMINALITY

Administrators of Local Government Development Areas in Enugu State have pledged their support to Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi in his efforts to stamp out criminality from the State.

They made the pledge during a sensitisation forum with Local Government Chairmen in the State.

Speaking on the outcome of the forum, the Coordinator of the Administrators, Mr. Okwudiri Onuora said the group would live no stone unturned to ensure that communities were safe and peaceful.

Mr. Onuora commended Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi for the bold step taken to rid the State off criminalities and enjoined the people of the State to give useful information to security  agencies.

According to the Administrators, the planned employment of over one hundred and seventy Forest Guards and total overhauling of the Neighbourhood Watch Group would make the State unsafe for criminals.

In a remark, the Leader, Association of Local Government Chairmen of Nigeria, ALGON,  Enugu State Chapter, Chief Frank Ugwu said that the Council Chairmen were fully in support of the Governor’s agenda for rapid development of the State.
