The paramount ruler of Ihim Autonomous Community in Isiala Mbano Local Government Area of Imo State, Eze Oliver Ohanweh, wants the newly appointed service chiefs to adopt uncommon strategies in ending insurgency and other security challenges in the country.

Speaking with Radio Nigeria in Owerri, the royal father said, though some level of successes have been recorded in the fight against insecurity especially in the North East, realities on ground indicated that more needed to be done to restore peace in the country.

Eze Ohanweh commended President Muhammadu Buhari for finally listening to the voices of many Nigerians in replacing the service chiefs.

He stressed the need for the Federal Government to provide necessary logistics needed to combat crime in the country.

He appealed to President Buhari to consider the South East geo-political zone in future appointments of heads of security agencies to enable Ndigbo to contribute their quota to tackling security issues in the country.

The monarch expressed worry about increasing wave of kidnapping, killings and civil disturbances in some parts of the south east, including Orlu, and called on security agents to be more tactical in addressing the issues.
