COLLATION OF ABA NORTH & SOUTH FEDERAL CONSTITUENCY BY-ELECTION RESULT IN PROGRESS

Voting has ended and collation of results in progress in the bye-election for Aba North and South Federal Constituency of Abia State.

Radio Nigeria observed that the exercise was peaceful but was characterized by voter apathy as most polling units visited witnessed low turnout of electorate.

According to our correspondent, voting started around 8am in most polling units visited.

Speaking with Radio Nigeria in one of the polling units visited, the Minister of State for Mines and Steel, Dr. Uche Ogah, expressed concern about the low turnout of voters but commended those that came out for the peaceful manner they conducted themselves during the exercise.
