CLO demands justice over the Murder of Enugu lawyer

Civil Liberties Organisation, CLO, has called on the Inspector General of Police, the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), similar human rights groups and the Presidency to ensure that proper investigation is carried out in the gruesome murder of an Enugu lawyer, Ejimofor Ozongwu. It would be recalled that Ozongwu was murdered on December 23, 2015, at his Okwojo, Ngwo, community- Udi local government area of Enugu State. In a statement signed by its Executive Director, Comrade Ibuchukwu Ezike, CLO noted that since the incident occurred, principal suspects still walk the streets of Enugu as free men. According to CLO, “there is every reason to suspect that the Police Command may be collaborating with these key suspects in the gruesome, wicked and heartless murder of Barrister Ozongwu to cover the truth and suppress justice in the matter”.
