BREAKING: SECOND COVID-19 CASE CONFIRMED IN EBONYI STATE

Ebonyi State has recorded second case of coronavirus. Speaking with Radio Nigeria in Abakaliki, the State Commissioner for Health, Dr Daniel Umezuruike explained that the case was a twenty seven year old man who was returning to Ebonyi from Asaba Delta State.

He stated that the man was intercepted alongside his wife and House Help by a Police Patrol Team at Ishieke Junction Abakaliki, where they alighted from a commuter bus en route their village.

Dr Umezuruike added that the case had been moved to Isolation Centre for treatment while tracing of those who came in contact with him including police officers who intercepted them had commenced.

Governor David Umahi had in a short State broadcast assured residents not to panic as the State Government was on top of the situation.
