NAPTIP Enugu Chapter, will not relent in the fight against child labour

The national AgenDSCN0109cy for the Prohibition of traffic in person (NAPTIP), says it will not relent in the fight against child labour and human trafficking.

The Zonal Commander of the Agency, Mrs. Oluchi Ebiringa stated this when she led a delegation of some staff of the Agency on a courtesy visit to the Management of the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria Enugu National Station.

Mrs. Ebiringa, who described human trafficking as Modern day slavery, advised parents to beware of human traffickers who distinguished themselves as friends. The zonal Commander called on people to report any case of human trafficking or child labour to NAPTIP office located at No. 18B Ekulu West, G.R.A beside Parkline Hospital Enugu, or call them on 07080601803.

DSCN0110She further explained that the victims of human trafficking are being rehabilitated and most times given skill acquisition before reuniting with their families.

Responding, the Zonal Director, Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria Enugu National Station, Mr. Ike Okere maintained that Radio Nigeria takes delights in partnering with any organization which share a similar mandate of uplifting the People and uniting the Nation.

The Zonal Director, while Commending the Agency on its humanitarian activities promised DSCN0105that DSCN0113Radio Nigeria would help in publicizing its events.
