BEG YOUR YOUTHS TO REGISTER AS ADHOC STAFF — NPC TELLS EBONYI PEOPLE

The National Population Commission (NPC) says about Nine thousand prospective adhoc staff have so far completed their online recruitment process for the 2023 National Population and Housing Census in Ebonyi State.

The NPC Direcror in the state, Mrs. Julia Manyike, stated this at the commencement of zonal sensitization on the recruitment process in Abakaliki.

The Director noted that the zonal level of sensitization was to ensure effective participation of community leaders and stakeholders in encouraging their educated sons and daughters to key into the online recruitment process.

Speaking at Abakaliki Local Government Headquarters, venue for the sensitization of the people of Ebonyi North zone, Mrs. Manyike said the awareness was to eliminate complaints on lopsided recruitment as well as to prevent prospective adhoc staff from being scammed into paying money for the exercise.

She emphasisied that the recruitment process was free of charge and warned qualified persons in the zones not to pay money to any impostor who may claim to be working for NPC.

Mrs. Manyike reassured the people of the state that no resident, including those who fled their communities as a result of crisis would be left uncounted.

Two participants, Mr. Dennis Agboeze and Mrs. Christiana Onyibe said they were impressed with the efforts being made by NPC to ensure that communities were carried along in the process and urged the Commission to deepen its efforts.
