APC LG CONGRESS ENDS PEACEFULLY IN ABIA

The All Progressive Congress (APC) Abia State has conducted its local government Congress. Radio Nigeria observed that the Congress was largely peaceful and credible in most local government areas visited.

At Umunneochi Local Government Area, party members were seen in their large number standing in queue for the election of local government area executive. Speaking with journalists, the member representing Umunneochi Isukwuato federal constituency at the National Assembly, Mrs. Nkeiruka Onyejeocha expressed satisfaction with the orderly manner members of the party conducted themselves during the exercise.

She urged the elected executive to ensure that they work together with members of their communities for the success of the party in the 2023 general election in the state. At Uzuakoli in Bende Local Government Area, the story was the same as members came out to elect their party local government executive.

In an interview, Chief Ejiofor Okeudo, who emerged the APC  Chairman in Bende Local Government Area, thanked members of the party for the confidence they reposed in him and members of his executive and gave an assurance that they would work in synergy with the people at the grassroots to ensure that APC would win the 2023 general election. At Isukwuato and Umuahia North Local Government Areas, party members also came out and participated in the local government area Congress.
