Anambra State Government says it will rehabilitate, in the shortest possible time, its Revenue House that was vandalized by hoodlums who infiltrated the #END SARS protest.

The Governor Willie Obiano stated this when he visited the facility in Awka.

Inspecting the building, Governor Obiano who expressed sadness at the level of destruction at the Revenue House, commended the workers seen on duty despite the hitch.

He noted that his administration would not relent in fixing the facility due to its important role in the daily workings of the state.

The Executive Chairman of Anambra State Internal Revenue Service, Dr. David Nzekwu, who was on ground to conduct the Governor round the facility, said they had already resumed work, calling on the public to visit their website for online services.

Dr. Nzekwu explained that four vehicles were burnt, while the invaders catered away some of their equipment in the ICT department.

He lauded the Governor’s support, saying that despite the challenges, their offices in all the local government areas were fully functional.

Meanwhile Radio Nigeria observed that some members of staff of the Revenue House were working under the canopies outside the building.
