ANAMBRA READY FOR COVID-19 VACCINE NEXT WEEK—GOV OBIANO

The first batch of COVID-19 vaccine is to arrive in Anambra State next week.

Governor Willie Obiano made this known while interacting with journalists in Ekwulobia, Aguata Local Government Area.

Governor Obiano noted that the first phase of COVID-19 AstraZeneca vaccine would be given to frontline workers often faced with the dreaded pandemic, the sick and those with COVID-19 or covid related illnesses.

He expressed satisfaction that the state had good storage facilities for the COVID-19 vaccine.

While saying that the country received six million doses of the vaccine, the Governor expressed the hope that Nigerians would be vaccinated in the next two years.

Governor Obiano enjoined the people of the state to log into into the website of NCDC vaccine to fill the forms to enable them to get vaccinated.

Meanwhile the Governor commended the people of Ekwulobia for observing COVID-19 protocol.
