ANAMBRA CP INSISTS ON CONDUCT OF NOVEMBER 6 GUBER ELECTION

The Commissioner of Police in Anambra State, Mr. Echeng Echeng, says no amount of threat will deter security agents in the area from protecting residents during and after the November 6, 2021 governorship election.

He said the Command had put every measure in place to ensure that all electorate and citizens who would wish to participate in the election were safe and protected.

Addressing journalists at the command headquarters Amawbia, in Awka South Local Government Area, Mr. Echeng said the command had been bold in confronting security challenges and had also made several successes in curbing crimes in the state while new approaches to tackling security were being developed.

On preparation towards the governorship election, the Police Commissioner said a comprehensive water tight security was in place to make sure that no breach of security would be experienced.

According to Mr. Echeng, the Inspector General of Police is very passionate about the election and has given everything the command requested for, including helicopters for aerial surveillance, gun boats to Patrol the waterways and vehicles to operate with during the election.

The Commissioner of Police asked the people to come out and cast their votes without any fear of intimidation as proper arrangements had been made to secure the state through a joint collaboration with other sister security agencies .
